REFEREES SCANDAL SHAKES TURKISH FOOTBALL

 The Turkish Football Federation (TFF) has launched an internal investigation after allegations surfaced that some referees in the league are involved in sports betting. Sources close to the inquiry indicate suspicious financial movements linked to personal accounts of referees officiating top-tier matches.

Experts warn that this situation could directly affect the league’s credibility, raising doubts about the fairness of decisions in crucial games. Fans and clubs have expressed concern on social media, calling for greater transparency and strict measures against those involved.

Furthermore, the TFF stated that if irregularities are confirmed, referees could face severe sanctions, including suspension, fines, or even bans from international competitions. UEFA and FIFA are also closely monitoring the case to protect the integrity of Turkish football.
